Cafe Caruso Italian - Warrington

Blown away by this fabulous find of a restaurant when I eat italian it has to be independent authentic restaurant for me, this is what we got! Welcomed in by Ellie we were early so took drinks Alfesco as the sun was in our favour. This quaint Italian restaurant has a feel of a family run business and service reflects this, its personable staff are happy to be at work and nothing is too much trouble, food outstanding Pizza bases fresh best Ive had this year, portions are ample and Menu has plenty to chooose from, really satisfied with our choices. Now my only issue which is minor lets find a better vessel for parmasan, that literally is it, from a catering background so I get that this is miniscule. You have a fine restaurant, great staff and food is exceptional and tasty all fresh, thankyou. Ellie, Good luck in Manchester, super young lady.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening (4 of us) we couldn’t fault the food or service but our visit was spoilt by the very very loud music which completely ruined the atmosphere. We couldn’t wait to finish our meal and leave, we have eaten several times here however, sadly won’t be returning anytime soon.

This restaurant was recommended to me and I made a special visit as a result. I was not disappointed! The service at lunchtime was swift, friendly, and clearly my meal had been freshly cooked. The bolognaise sauce was one of the best I have had in a long time. Elli served me throughout my visit, and was a pleasure to chat to and be looked after by her professional and friendly level of service. Next time it’s a pizza that I’ll try as they looked sensational.

My granddaughter and her boyfriend visited the restaurant today, where they saw a sign advertising a student offer of pizza or pasta with a soft drink for £6.99. Without any terms and conditions listed, they decided to order a penne arrabiata and a soft drink. When they went to pay and showed their student cards, they were refused the discount because they had not mentioned they were students before ordering. Despite wearing their student cards around their necks, there was no indication that they needed to declare their student status before ordering. As a result, they were charged full price for their meal. The restaurant refused to honor the student rate, and my granddaughter, being too shy to insist, did not argue further. This experience was disappointing, as they had been loyal customers in the past. Unfortunately, they will not be returning and will look for a different restaurant that actually delivers on their advertised promotions.

My party and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening after making a reservation over the phone earlier in the week. Despite being fully booked, the noise level did not detract from our enjoyment. The service was quick and friendly, and we observed thorough cleaning of tables between guests, creating a pleasant atmosphere. We only ordered main courses, and we opted for the penne supremo which was served piping hot and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
