Capitol Square Grill - Washington

Th experience was amazing .. although I feel we did not experience its full potential as it was quite empty but ambience was great , it was clean looked quite smaller than what was advertised on IG. The food portion were too small for the price but was good even though selections were limited . Maybe it was the weekend menu not sure . I am sure I will be back. Very nice place to entertain friends, dates and family. If u enjoy well presented good African food that is your spot .. cocktails were amazing !

Food was EXTREMELY overpriced. $50 for a plate of Jollof rice is insanity. We also ordered the mimosa tower and they gave us 5 tablespoons of juice to chase it and with no refill on the juice, I couldn’t believe it Service was soooooo slow and so trash. The owner was arrogant and very unfriendly/ unprofessional and that was when we decided to get up and leave. I mean I could go on and on but I’ll leave you with this for now.

My boyfriend and I went here after seeing a video on Instagram. I must say that the food lived up to the hype. We had the chicken and mambo sauce deviled eggs, the lamb with mash and spinach, the red snapper with jollof rice and veggies, and the pineapple fire drinks. Everything was well seasoned and hit the spot. We’ll be back for sure!!

We came for my daughters birthday. The service was spectacular and they provided a wonderful ambiance. My daughter enjoyed her curry chicken and my oxtail was tender.

Someone need to update the hours of operation for the online reservation. I was able to make a reservation at 6:30pm which they closed at 7pm. The waiter did apologize for the inconvenience and did accommodate us since we were there. Overall the service and food was good.
