We ordered from the specials menu and went to pick it up at the allotted time....Five minutes later on getting home all of it especially the Naan bread and rice was half cold. So had to transfer most of it into dishes as in foil trays to the microwave. Having boosted some of it heat wise we served it up on our own heated plates and even then the food felt cold. The curry sauces were very watery and little flavour. In our lifetime my husband and I have probably had well over Indian takeaways this without doubt was the worst! Avoid at all costs supermarket curries are way better.
We ordered takeout from the restaurant and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed the great Indian cuisine and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Suffolk.
Overpriced, utterly bland and tasteless. I can only conclude it was the chefs night off and the cleaner thought he'd have a go. A thoroughly disappointing and costly experience I will not be repeating.
After a long journey from the north east to visit family, we were in need of a quick tasty meal that we didnt have to cook ourselves. With a opening time we were first through the door and less than minutes later we...had our food. Chicken korai was delicately spiced and flavoursome. Chicken tikka was tender and cooked to perfection, not too creamy or overpowered by coconut and just how we like it. Rice and chips as accompaniments, with my only quibble being would have prefered chunkier chips rather than the french fries but that is down to my taste and preference and it certainly didnt mar the meal in any way. Portion size good, quality excellent- we will return. Had some good conversation with the owner whilst waiting for the food to be cooked and he gave us some recommendations for dishes to try that would suit our tastes. This place is a hidden gem tucked away off the market place square and down a flight of stairs but have a look for it, its well worth it and who knows, you may see us in there next time we visit. Currently it is just takeaway but hopefully in the future the restaurant side will be operational again and people can sit in and enjoy this fine Indian cuisine that Raj Puth delivers.
A chance visit to Suffolk saw family of opting for curry. The Raj pith was nearest. The owner/manager was welcoming and charming. The food excellent
