School Kaettchen - Weiskirchen

An extremely pristine and crisp restaurant. This is where you feel at home. Earlier this was a winter school and accordingly the character is. The walls are partly made of natural stone and you can see every single stone. The delicious food is served in the candlelight. In the summer there is a beautiful terrace that is lovingly designed. Here you can either sit under the roofing on sofa or armchair or directly under the open sky.

Very good service and very friendly staf. we were really surprise finding this small restaurant. very special interior. food is perfect and staf is very open for the discussion. Food were great. they have a terras but for september weather, it's not really warm enough.

Pretty good value for money. I had a nice steak (asked for rare/english but got medium and my girlfriend was very fond of the salad. The vegetarian lasagna was ok. We like the vegetables a bit more crispy. A little bit more attention for plating could do the trick. The terrace was very cosy/atmospheric. The owner must be a fan of bonsai trees ; Nice people, nice guests.

Another gem hidden in the Saarland! The food is slightly more expensive, but perfectly cooked and delicious. They have grilled meat, schnitzels, and Italian food. Everything our party ate was fantastic! One of us had the traditional breakfast schnitzel, with a 2 over-easy eggs ontop, and a couple of us had the lamb. I personally highly recommend the lamb.
