What to do if you want to stay in a huge commercial area in a pension and in the evening after a long trip don't want to drive far to eat. It is very good that is located directly opposite the pension of the Asia Palace. Not to be overlooked, especially in the dark, because pretty cheeky “light trees” in front of the restaurant and the typical Asian Lampions show the way to the entrance. From the outside, the Asia Palace is therefore very good to identify as an Asian restaurant. Together with 4 friends, I'm in the restaurant at 8:00. It can be seen from the outside that this is a proper operation and there are hardly any free tables. We are intercepted after entering a male Asian and asking if we have reserved what we agreed. At first it seems like there is no free table, but then it leads us to an elongated hexagonal table on the window, near the entrance. We're glad this works so easy. After a short time, a female service seems to be power, gives us the menus and accepts our drinks wishes. We have no time to study the menu because another service already brings the drinks. The decision on what we eat goes quickly like a buffet for 15.90 euros is offered in the evening and we want to eat all the buffets. It would also be possible to order dishes from the menu. Now time is something to look around at the restaurant. It is a rather large rectangular space, hard to say how many guests can eat here. We sit directly on a long window front where only tables for 6 people are arranged. In the middle of the room, slightly elevated, there are other tables. Between us and the increase there are another six tables and also smaller ones. There are also some separate rooms of different sizes. I guess there's a lot of 150 guests at the same time. The existing room is optimally used to fill the restaurant with as many guests as possible. The increase in the middle of the guest room also ensures that this further level keeps the volume within limits. We don't have to scream, but we can usually talk. The guest room is well lit, the furniture and the floor also bright, the decoration typical asian but still not overloaded. Now the most important, the buffet. It is located on the left, seen from the entrance. There is a very extensive buffet with Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Mongolian specialties. Mongolia means here that raw vegetables, fish and meat can be selected and freshly prepared by a cook at a station with a sauce. At the tables there are brackets with the table number, clamp them to the plate, then it can be brought to the table after preparation from the service. Tonight, however, the Mongolian type of preparation proves that it already takes half an hour until the chosen one is brought to the table. The only cook at this station seems to be overwhelmed by the storm, I mean in time. The selectable ingredients for the buffet are extra class, even unusual meat. There are also some prepared Chinese and Thai specialities and sushi at the buffet. There are also small spring rolls, baked vegetables and baked bananas and pineapples, soups, salads, dessert, etc. It's always someone from the service there to arrange everything and maybe wipe something if someone else attacked. The tour around the buffet is somewhat narrow, especially when some guests go in the “wrong” direction. There are no options for avoiding, then only the reverse will help. My food tastes very good! I try different appetizers, not always low calories because baked, but I like that. Then I test a finished dish with rice, even that was well prepared and delicious. And for dessert I enjoy an ice cream with various fresh and also preserved fruits. I don't like the glibberzeugs. I drink 3 Cola light because I'm crazy thirst, that's certainly the food. The service staff is flashy and friendly, orders are quickly picked up and brought to the table, empty plates quickly deleted, so space is new. However, there is something to complain about, the tables, that is, their table legs are so unhappy that you easily bump your knees, at least not easy to sit. Conclusion: I spend 4 stars for a pleasant ambience, delicious buffet with very large selection and friendly service staff. There are still a few things to improve, so not the full number of stars.
The Asia Palace was positive to me a long time ago when the Mongolian wave jumped to Germany. Because it was one of the first to have offered Teppanyaki (hopefully I wrote it now) also for lunch in the AI. In addition to fish, poultry and vegetables there are several sauces. Until the finished plate is placed on the table (which can take some time depending on the load) you can use the standard buffet. There are 8-9 Chinese dishes and all goods Who can not like that on Pommes or use bean vegetables and potato gratin. It's partly full in the evening. A timely reservation is recommended here. At noon it may also be problematic to get a seat, depending on time. I didn't get used to being there at 12:00, but rather a little later. It's always filled. But the intention at 14:30 is over! Everything was very delicious. In some dishes you need to observe how meat and vegetables swim in oil. This also shows the fine of EUR 5 with a full standing record. FINDE ICH GUT! So discipline people who do not really belong to such a restaurant. The price for the lunch buffet is 8.50 EUR. Beverages are always delivered XL if you do not need small cola. These are then correspondingly overpriced. In summer it can be very warm and sticky on the seats in the winter garden. I don't think a climate system is installed here. Therefore better escape into the fresh air zone outside. Parking is much outside the door, but they must be shared with other shops. I'm glad to come back!
I like Chinese / Mongolisch AYCE Restaurants, and this by far is the best in the region, the only down point there is the expensive drinks, but aside from that everything was fine.
One of several Asian (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) restaurants in the area which offer a choice between a set-price buffet which you can return to until you are ready to burst, or self-selected dishes which are specially cooked to order, at a rather higher price. The buffet is regularly topped up with replacement items as soon as any gaps start to appear. The choice from the buffet is so wide (and good) that it's hardly necessary to pay more for the cooked-to-order items. The place can get crowded at times (it's close to lots of shops), and the sevice staff is not always particulalry helpful (or is this the fault of the rather unfriendly management?).You'll probably leave the place feeling stuffed and reasonably happy with the value-for-money ratio, though you may also have a sense of having been passed down a conveyor belt for the past hour or two.
