Avaliação da contribuiçãoMany options for Entrees and Net. We had the pakoras and onion bhaji that were both great (but I prefer the pakoras plus the okra and chickpeas dishes and dal makani. (My husband says the dal makani is better in Porirua Little India. The okra dish was a little oily, but very tasty. Overall it was delicious and very full.
It was really delicious and a real touch to have Naan breads that were vegan friendly. The curry was delicious, we had a dhaal and an Aloo Ghobi, as well as Samosa, Bhaji, rice and garlic naan. I forgot to take photos because I consumed it very quickly. Only disadvantage was that they brought a non- vegan bath with the vegan order, and then said: "It comes with this bath, but it is not vegan, so I think you don't want it." But fair enough to ask better than not to mention. It's really great. Updated by previous rating on 2023 01 29
The food at this restaurant was truly delicious and it was a pleasant surprise to find that the Naan Breads were vegan-friendly. We enjoyed a Dhaal and Aloo Ghobi curry, as well as samosas, onion bhajis, rice, and garlic naan. Unfortunately, they mistakenly brought out a non-vegan dip with the vegan order, but quickly realized the error and offered to remove it. Overall, the experience was great and we would definitely recommend this restaurant. (Review updated on January 29, 2023)
This is a family-owned restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have a separate vegan menu that is curated beautifully by one of the team members. We chose to sit on the elevated second level and ordered Tarka Daal (yellow split lentils cooked with cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and turmeric) and Amritsari Chole (chickpeas cooked with ginger, garlic, onions, and tomatoes, finished with freshly ground spices), served with rice and garlic naan bread. Unfortunately, the vegan wine we initially wanted was not available, so we opted for some refreshing bottles of crisp, cold Kingfisher beer instead. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience.
There are plenty of choices for appetizers and main dishes at this restaurant. We ordered the pakoras and onion bhaji, both of which were delicious. Personally, I preferred the pakoras along with the okra and chickpeas dishes and dal makani. (However, my husband thinks the dal makani is better at the Porirua Little India.) The okra dish was a bit oily, but incredibly tasty. Overall, the meal was delicious and satisfying.
