Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe ate here with a business client who lives in the area. He didn't know about the downstairs cellar area, though, so it was fun to take a tour with the owner after our scrumptious dinner. I had a lamb combination with chop and shank...prepared perfectly. It came with some roasted vegetables that were also cooked to perfection. The owner presented us with an appetizer of 2 spreads- an olive spread and a hummus type spread with great bread to go with it before our meal. The room we ate in was in a glass enclosure, like an enclosed patio. It was cool that day, so it was nice to be inside. There was interior room dining also, but it seemed stuffy in there, and it was nice to be able to look out over the plaza area of the city of Wels. The building originally was a stable back in the 1700, but the cellar area dated back to Roman times. It was a great experience for us. I'd definitely go back.
I was in this restaurant several times (like couple, with friends, with family and it was wonderful every time. The food is very high quality and delicious. The guest's request will be addressed individually. An additional preparation for food intolerances is also not a problem. I'm looking forward to the next visit.
Just eaten here this evening and wanted to add my commendation to what is an excellent restaurant. Attentive staff even brought me a copy of National Geographic when they realised I was dining alone this evening. Started with speciality Mushroom served, served warm into my...bowl at the table. followed by exquisite wild boar and finished with a marvellous selection of Austrian Cheeses. Ok so at 50€ it wasn't the cheapest meal in town, but for a really elegant treat I would highly recommend Lowenkeller when next in Wels.
Had a really pleasant dinner with my colleague. The service was excellent, the recommended dish that a seasonal special handmade gnocchi with the ragu was excellent! Also to test the dessert, but it was clearly beyond the main course. A beautiful contemporary twist on traditional Austrian cooking tradition.
We came back, but this time only for a wine. In my opinion, one of the best elections in Wels, for what I know. The feeling is to come in your favorite restaurant, like the place you use to go weekly, but it...was my second time in life. The service is really very friendly and seems to really enjoy putting customers in the middle of attention. I.t is certainly a good place as a restaurant and wine bar. A must in town.
