Im Winkel - Werl

I was first in this place 22 yrs ago serving in the Army, went back to visit friends and went for a drink there. The place has hardly changed in all that time, the food is proper german hearty fare and the beer is great. The owners have really put a lot into making guests feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We visited family in Werl in August and they treated us to a schnitzel tasting at Im Winkel. What a fabulous introduction into german cuisine! Every sauce and potato we tried we loved. And the beer wasn't too bad either. Great friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

We prefer to be in the beer garden in summer with scavenger buffet. Super selection of supplements and sauces and good service. The best pub in Werl!
