I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and relaxed, with a leisurely pace for the meal. It's not the place to go if you're in a rush. I found the menu on the tablet computers to be a bit confusing, especially since you couldn't order through them. However, once we got paper menus, things became easier. I was initially disappointed that Sake was only available by the bottle, but the owner generously shared a bottle with us for free when I mentioned it at the end of our meal. Overall, it was an interesting experience and I look forward to returning.
Just passing by on Saturday and spotted this restaurant, it was only 10 minutes to their advertised closing time but I was welcomed and offered a choice of tables. Had a 2 course lunch which was superb, having been lucky enough to spend time in Japan last year I can honestly say the food here is very authentic as was the beer and decent value for the quality. Will definitely visit again when in Newbury.
Can't recommend this place enough. Beautiful food. Delivered though lockdown so heros as far as I'm concerned. Super delicious. One recommendation: change your payment systems to let me tip with card as no one carries cash anymore.
What a beautiful meal, went for an idle Friday lunch today, sushi was superb, service was good. Prawn Gyozas were truly superb and you should really try the Japanese fried chicken- yummm. Hadn't been before, it's not cheap, but it IS good value for money!
