Rey Azteca West Chester

Always our go to, seems to get better and better! This time we tried a burrito and got the Burrito California. So good and huge! Could easily be two meals. We have tried several of their dishes but still plenty more to go!

The food was fantastic! It arrived promptly on warm plates. Although the staff had difficulty speaking English, which made ordering and requesting refills challenging, it contributed to the overall atmosphere and wouldn’t deter me from returning.

We were a party of four, and I ordered meals for everyone, plus an additional to-go order. Two of us, along with the to-go meal, ordered the same dish, yet there was still confusion. I specifically said, "three steak taco fajitas," and despite going over the order multiple times, we ended up with only three meals for the four of us. Thankfully, they eventually corrected the mistake. The chips and salsa served at the table were disappointing—unseasoned, thick chips and bland salsa. The taco fajitas themselves were not good either; the meat was dry and flavorless, suggesting it had been pre-cooked and left out for too long. The accompanying hot sauce was extremely spicy but lacked good flavor, and no one at the table enjoyed it. The beans and rice were acceptable, but the other two diners at our table enjoyed their meals. However, the three of us who ordered the taco fajitas were left feeling quite disappointed.

My experience at the restaurant was incredibly comforting. The decor, filled with cultural history, created a warm ambiance. The booths were the most comfortable I’ve ever encountered. The service was quick, and our server was polite and attentive, checking in on us periodically to ensure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was outstanding—authentic and served in generous portions that were well arranged. Overall, the prices were very reasonable; we honestly felt like we should have paid more! We will definitely be returning.

I absolutely love Rey Azteca! This was my first time using DoorDash for delivery from them, and I was not disappointed! The three hard shell ground beef tacos were filled with delicious ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream. I also really enjoyed the 6oz Cheese Dip with chips—there were plenty to share or even save for another day. For dessert, I had the churros, which were sweet, crunchy, and delectable! I have plenty of leftovers for another meal.
