Maxies Restaurant & Lounge

The last time I visited Maxie's, they were still at the original site in Ingersoll. This must have been the early 1970s. decided to try them out tonight. Now I'll meet for so long. We probably had the place for us because of the weather. Ordered the combination of baked vegetables; onion rings, baked mushrooms, roasted pickers fried green beans. All were hot, crisp and perfectly seasoned. Dinner was a Rarebit Burger and the white Cheddar-Bacon-Jam Burger. Both burgers were prepared as ordered. all this plus a few glasses with half-priced house wine and competent service made for a surprisingly ingenious evening. Maxie's will definitely be a place we will often visit from now on.

The food is good. The quality of my salad was great, fresh salad and vegetables and the chicken breast was perfectly cooked. The onion rings were not disappointed. Come here while you can tell us they're closing their doors in February 2023. It's been here a long time, but the owners are retired.

On Tuesday night about Maxie's approx. They're closing at 8:00. The dining room had a party of 20, the bar/lounge had only 2 other couples eating and was very secret and relaxing. Our waitress gave us a head up that the big party would be ordered and asked if we wanted our order before her... yes, please! We ordered the chicken parm sandwich and steak. (Hot Beef with kartoffeln was the original question, but they were out ..as always our waitress said they'd highly recommend order that we come back next time as it is very good and a hearty part! All sandwiches come with their famous onion rings. I am not generally a fan of onion strands that they tend to be salty for me, but these were not, I was pleasantly surprised. The frits were crispy and shoe ring thickness. My chicken parm sandwich (made with house sauce was amazing....it was the most juicy chicken I had from a restaurant in a while. The house made red sauce was great, even my friend agreed... next time we are definitely ordering pasta (and hot beef with potatoes! The steak was cooked with medium rarely on request and had a very nice aroma. A large selection, check it!

This the place just go get some good traditional food. Service is always great and prices are reasonable. I like eating in the bar

Maxie Burger was really good! Fries and onion rings come with the burger as well! Good service!
