Avaliação da contribuiçãoI recently dined at a charming café with welcoming staff and flavorful dishes. We ordered the classic breakfast, which was not only generous in portion but also scrumptious. It provided us with energy to last throughout the day.
I recently enjoyed afternoon tea at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was fresh, with a nice combination of sweet and savory items. The pot of tea was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and professional, providing explanations of the dishes without hovering at our table. They checked in to ensure everything was to our liking before allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace. We left feeling full and satisfied, and the experience was great value for money. I would return in a heartbeat.
We arrived just after the lunchtime menu cut off at 2:45pm, but we understand that the kitchens have to close at some point. Although we missed out on the main menu, we enjoyed the Cream Tea. We appreciated that the restaurant employs young people with SEND, providing them with valuable opportunities. However, we feel that the atmosphere would benefit from more interaction and smiles from the staff. Our experience indoors felt a bit dark, but the outdoor seating area was fully occupied and much more appealing. The unisex toilets, with toilet seats left up and urine on the floor, were off-putting and may prevent us from returning in the future.
Great food and service. We had walked 4miles from wool to moreton with two dogs to visit T E Lawerences grave. We noticed the sign for the cafe as we were feeling peckish. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait long to be served at the till. The staff were all polite and friendly. We ordered two lattes, scones and sandwiches. We got the coffees and scones straight away. The sandwiches would take longer due to the kitchen making them. We were given a buzzer. About five minutes later it buzzed. Went inside to collect the sandwiches. The sandwiches had been freshly made. The bread was soft and fresh. The fillings tasted soo good. The sandwiches comes with salad and crisps all very neatly arranged on the large plate. The lattes were hot had tasted good. The scones were tasty. In all it cost about £30.00 which given the location and quality of food I believe was right on the money. There’s plenty of space inside and outside. They’re also dog friendly. Made the walk back to wool easy having filled up at the cafe. Next time we’re down we will definitely be back.
We booked for high tea for two at a cost of £37 Tea pot and cups very pretty and tea was nice. Sandwiches were on the dry side with a heavy hand of butter/margarine. sandwiches were not dainty, which you would expect from a high tea. Brie was cut as a chunk, with cranberry. tasteless grated cheese sandwich with an unusual chutney/pickle, small piece of ham in heavily buttered white bread and tuna sandwich Scones were warm and nice with a pot of clotted cream and jam Cake selection were plentiful but were very dry and you could even go as far as saying stale. Small dainty cakes which were fresh would have been more suitable, rather than large cupcakes and tray baked cakes. Sadly would not recommend high tea as certainly not worth the money
