Avaliação da contribuiçãoHenry's Room is a very special space inside. The Caesar salad and halibut are outstanding, as are the Amelia and Distance and Elegance cocktails.
This place rocks but I don’t want you to know it because I want it all to myself!
Breathtakingly Wonderful. An experience not just a bar.
That said, Employees Only is a restaurant as well as a bar, so it's probably not entirely fair to compare. In keeping with the speakeasy vibe, they have a book full of pages and pages of specialty cocktails! I was really hoping to find something sweet and spicy, but the closest option was the "Ready Fire Aim." Unfortunately, it was extremely underwhelming—just 4 ounces of liquid served in an awkward glass for $18! It didn’t taste sweet and spicy at all; more like a Cosmopolitan that had been steeped in mesquite charcoal for an eternity—definitely a strange combo. Next up were the steak tartares! The waiter brought it to our table, and then the manager came over to prepare it for us. For those who may not know, steak tartare is essentially raw beef cut into small pieces and seasoned with various ingredients like capers, shallots, parsley, raw eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. It’s known for its undeniable romance with French cuisine, but, unfortunately, I didn’t feel the love here.
The bartenders here are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, providing a wonderful atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful, and the cocktail menu is impressive, featuring a variety of creative and delicious options—I sampled about 5 or 6, and they were all fantastic. The food menu is equally enjoyable and fun. What more could I ask for? Everything truly lives up to the Employees Only name and its reputation for excellence. I look forward to returning again and again.
