This place is a regular one l visit, service is very good, never had a problem. One of the waitresses is particularly friendly, helpful and considerate,Carly you are an asset! Food is good and l love the selection of cakes on offer! Highly recommended

Yesterday's experience at the restaurant was terrible, especially considering that my last visit on Thursday was very good. The previous reviewer was right in their analysis - everyone in the restaurant had to endure a staff member throwing a tantrum. When a complaint was made, the situation escalated to the point where the manager had to intervene to calm things down. The staff member in question justified her behavior by saying she doesn't get paid enough to take criticism. She then stormed out of the building saying she needed a break before losing her composure. The manager followed her outside to address her behavior, but when they came back, she continued to complain to a delivery driver about how unfairly she had been treated. We waited 50 minutes for our food, which was average at best. We even witnessed a kitchen staff member making his own lunch and eating it right beside us during this time. When we left, we wanted to bring up our complaints, but the staff member was nearby so we decided to call the manager the next day. However, when we called, we were told there was no manager in until Friday - today is Wednesday, hence why I decided to leave a review on Tripadvisor. Overall, it was a cringe-worthy experience that I would not want to repeat.

A very bad experience, waited over 30 minutes for food so asked how long it was going to be and was told.another ten minutes, I pointed out to the waitress that they had been telling people who where coming in after that there was a long wait so why hadn’t they told us. When food came my husband left half of his wrap saying bacon, beans etc was cold, that however was not our main issue, when I went to pay the other waitress accused me of making the the other girl cry as I was aggressive to her, this was untrue and said so to this waitress, she was then totally aggressive to me to the point of being threatening, saying she was only paid £10.42 an hour so didn’t have to take any criticism, at this point the manager came out and told her to go away and she spoke to me in a proper manner said they had had a problem in the kitchen causing the delays, as I pointed out they should have informed us of this then we would have understood the delay. The aggressive waitress then went to the tables outside and was calling me, my husband was outside and heard it, this is totally unacceptable behaviour.

Staff are nice and friendly and the food is good when it eventually arrives but service is painfully slow. It shouldn’t take the best part of an hour to get a meat pie and a sandwich. Such a shame as it’s a lovely cafe but I’m afraid we won’t be visiting again unless they sort this issue out.”

I would highly recommend this eatery for the high quality of food and the comfortable and clean dining area . The two members of staff who looked after us were very sociable and nothing seemed too much trouble for them . Abbey and Sehren were definitely one or two of the reasons we will come back . Give The March Hare a visit. You won't be disappointed . Even if it's to use the spotless toilets !
