Avaliação da contribuiçãoDespite the limited menu, the food at this restaurant is well-prepared and delicious. The service, while slow, is pleasant. Despite the quiet atmosphere, the food took a long time to be served.
I was disappointed by the food and service at this restaurant, despite its grand setting and aristocratic ambiance. I ordered an expensive chicken burger with chips for £14, which felt outdated and unexciting. The presentation and taste were both boring and bland, reminding me of the 90s. The breakfast menu at the Pentland offers a variety of options, including haggis for those who enjoy it.
While we enjoyed the food, we found the prices to be a bit high and the menu to be slightly misleading with additional costs. When it came time to pay, the process was confusing as we were directed to the hotel reception before being guided back to our table for payment. Although we were not given a physical bill, we noticed a 10% service charge included, which we did not mind but would have preferred it to be optional. The mandatory service charge seemed to affect the staff's attitude, making them seem indifferent and slow. Despite these issues, we ended the night with a pleasant cocktail in the bar, which had a nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. Overall, there are areas for improvement in the restaurant's service and pricing.
Poor service, limited food choice and overpriced. I seriously recommend looking for somewhere else to avoid disappointment
Stayed for one night. Comfortable room and good facilities. All staff friendly and efficient, and dinner was way better than we were expecting. Great service by Leo. Thanks
