Catz - WHITE RIVER

This .was a great little diner,,,,,great food, reasonable prices, good service. Had been my favorite spot in White River, Ontario. Arrived here to dine the evening of June 16, 2017 only to learn it had closed it's doors earlier in the week....Talked with some "locals" who advised the owners could not find adequate workers to help run the restaurant. What a shame.

I opted for the Shepherd's Pie. When I opened the take out container I was pleasantly surprised to see the quantity of food. It was delicious and easily was enough for two meals. I visited on my last evening and I wish I had eaten there every night of my stay.

Walked here from the White River Motel. Nice family style restaurant. Lots of gravy with the turkey meal. Friendly waitress.

WOW! I am very picky about my eggs Benny. This was an unbelievable pleasant surprise. The sauce was home made and phenomenal. I ordered the bacon Benny with pan fried potatoes. Can't say enough about how delicious this was. Made with love. Waitress a little shy till you get her talking. I highly recommend. It's my top 2 in Canada for Benny. I've gone coast to coast... I give it a 10 out of 10. Don't let the looks of the place throw you. Hidden gem. This chick can cook!

Catz was a homey place, with solid comfort food. The kids meals were more than ample, and the mains for adults were big and hearty. Our server was really, really chatty and fun. We'd go back.
