Egg Crate Cafe - Wichita

Egg Crate Cafe has a fun hostess and very personable staff! We had a large group and called ahead, but it still took a bit to get seated. If you have a large group, be prepared for a little wait-this place is very popular! Our waitress was great! She laughed, joked, and kept our glasses full. The food was wonderful! Everything was seasoned well and so tasty! I highly recommend the lemon blueberry pancakes and the chicken fried steak. The portions were also very good sized. This is one of the best breakfasts I've tasted and the staff made the meal even better! I hope the next time I come to Wichita, I will be able to eat here again!

We met some family here for breakfast. It was busy, but we only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. They have rotating breakfast specials posted on a board near the front entrance. Two of us ordered the special super breakfast burrito which came stuffed with potatoes, eggs, sausage and onions. It could be topped with either gravy or chili. I chose the chili which I thought went very well with the burrito. It was so large, I had to take some of it home. My wife ordered a 2 egg breakfast with bacon and fried sliced potatoes. She really enjoyed her breakfast. Service was pretty decent despite the restaurant being busy.

We ate breakfast here, and the food was good, as was the service. Just a good place to go! We will be back.

The restaurant was just okay. The food was average, though my hash browns were a bit on the well done side. My husbands omelet did not have nearly enough cheese to keep it together either. On the upside, our server was extremely pleasant and friendly! If you’re looking for a place to blow you out of the water, this is not it, but if you’re looking for a decent/average breakfast place on this side of town, it will suffice.
