Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe went to Gringo to try empanadas as the ones in Argentina. The place is cute but needs some improvement in the tiny table area, which is a part of an old old house in the historical Leesburg downtown. Accessing by stairs the first area is the counter where you order.Mostly this place is for take out, but we sat at a table. Again it would be very nice to improve this area.We asked for argentinas (meat), capresse, and spiced meat. Argentinas were the most closer to a real argentine empanada. Well filled but lacking flavor. Capresse needs work in adding tomato and mixed cheeses that can represent the original mozzarella. The spicy one was not so spicy.Other fillings are adaptations to the american food, like brisket or chipotle. It is important to clarify that the empanadas made in Argentina are very particular, difficult to replicate and varies from province to province, but if Gringo invest in more knowledge and flavor it's possible to get better results. For who doesn't know the original ones they are not so bad, it wasn't our case though. We would have liked to reach a product at least in between. Attendant was good. Good for kids, counter area okay.
Wow, the empanadas were amazing in both taste and freshness! The customer service was wonderful, as well. I highly recommend this place.
I got an empanada during after getting some drinks with my family. The empanada was really hot and spicy. It was exactly the snack that I was looking for after having a few drinks.
Empanadas were great!! Freshly made. Lots of filling. Descent size. Several flavors to choose from. Just as pictured on website. Well worth the price. Tried the chicken, brisket and beef. All were really tasty. Establishment smelled of awesome, great smelling, baking empanadas. Hot chipotle sauce is a must try it’s delicious to dip in. Service was very solemn, not much chatting. Place is small so get your food and keep it moving. Will visit again.
This place is absolutely incredible, I’ve gotten to the point where I order 20 of them and then microwave them for lunch multiple days. It is so much better than just getting a pizza for a group of friends.
