Avaliação da contribuiçãoFood is quite good, but the service and atmosphere detracted so much that i would not return. The server was actually incredibly kind, but everything was slow, many tables arrived after us and seemed to be getting more service, the details of service were lacking overall topping up water, clearing plates, etc... food is really good though. Maybe take out is a better option?
We went for dinner our first night here. For $23US we had two sushi rolls plus soup. Sushi was freshly prepared right in front of us and of excellent quality.
Sushi, rolls and desert made me give it 5 stars. Portions were small but the quality well made up for it. I don't usually get desert but had to try the red bean cake. Awesome food and service was on point.
We were a group of 10 and all of us were in agreement as to the quality of the food and service. The sushi was delicious and the chicken Karaage was amazing. We had 3 platters of raw oysters as well which were fresh and served nice and cold. The service was flawless. Sake and beer all around and we were very happy campers.
Those of you who follow my postings know I have this love for all things Japanese food. For my last night in Winnipeg I of course chose to visit Izakaya which was very close to hotel. Very unassuming place. Nice decor and atmosphere. Prompt seating. I decided to do something different. I ordered the sushi and sashimi plate where then sushi chef chooses the selection of fish. Also comes with appetizer, miso soup, and desert. It was all amazing. From start to finish. The mango ice cream was so good! Definitely recommend. I hope I get to visit Winnipeg again if just to eat here again.
