Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis is what all westernized chinese food should taste like. Who cares if portions are smaller, it's like that in all quality restaurants where they give a proper sized serving of quality food instead of a large serving of crappy food. <br/ <br/ We don't eat her eoften, we're out of the delivery zone so when we do order from here it's an added $20 delivery charge. No big deal, we just take that into account and use Plaza as a special treat.
Love, love , love the Plaza. I will drive cross town for the plaza. One of the best offerings Elwood has to offer. You can't beat the prices on the lunch menu. If you do go, just don't sit at the table next to the bathroom.
The Plaza is a restaurant that holds a special place in my heart. It was my grandfather's favorite spot for over 30 years, and every Christmas Eve when my mother was young, he would take my grandmother and their four kids there for dinner. After my grandfather passed away, I began joining my mom, grandma, and aunts for Christmas Eve dinner. They all love the Szechuan beef and Lemon Chicken, but we all especially enjoy the Mooshie pancakes. Personally, I prefer the tofu version with crunchy fried tofu strips mixed in with buttery and savory bean sprouts, while the rest of the family opts for the pork. I often crave those pancakes, but I try to hold off until Christmas to keep it special. The restaurant is always busy, the service is quick and efficient, and although not overly friendly, it is precise. Despite its unassuming appearance, it is always the best ones that are hidden gems.
An excellent Chinese restaurant in the city, the Plaza impressed us with their quick service and delicious food. We ordered a variety of dishes including spring rolls, beef fried rice, lemon chicken, curry shrimp, honey garlic veal, and sweet and sour chicken balls, all of which were served promptly and were incredibly flavorful. The sauces were light and not overpowering, and the meat was cooked perfectly. The honey garlic veal and lemon chicken were standout dishes that we highly recommend trying. The only downside was the curry shrimp, which was generous but heavy on green peppers and onions. The bill came to around $75 for five dishes and an appetizer, making it a great value for the quality of food. Overall, the Plaza is a must-try for Chinese cuisine in the city. We will definitely be returning in the future! 9/10 Enjoy!
Agree with the comments about consistency, price and take out size. However, we were introduced to this restaurant from very good friends and I still value the taste and quality of the food. Yes, possibly a premium experience but the food is tasty.
