Who doesn't get any more space at the old sweden can feed from the same kitchen. we were in the situation and have not regretted that a house went on. a lot of space and a very attentive service, good eating and also drinks have made us start the evening well.Recommendable are both meat dishes and fish.
We visited wismar to third and returned with our four-legged family member banja (blonde Hovawart-Rüde) to this restaurant, located right next to the historic restaurant "alter schwede". it was well visited, only a few tables were free and we received a well-located eckish on our request (wg. banja). the staff was very attentive, because also banja was not forgotten and received after we had taken place, unrequired a large bowl with fresh water. we ate different dishes (fish/meat) and were inspired by the rich food from taste, as well as by the size of the portions (it was not overloaded). we can recommend this restaurant well and we should come back to wismar again, we will return with security there again.Note: both restaurants (seestar and "alter swede)" belong together.
Beautiful, upscale yet relaxed ambience. Professional and very friendly and competent staff.Very large portions, great selection with lots of fish and very delicious! really excellent and recommended!
We were a company of 9 people and had reserved on the evening of 17th October 2015. we learned that the neighboring restaurants seestar and old swede operate a common kitchen for both restaurants. in the star of the sea there are two cards, one for the star of the sea, a second for the old one, one can order in the star of the sea from both. the kitchen is supposed to be highly recommended. that is not her. half the duck - 5 portions - was fried black and not seasoned. the scholle finkenwerder art was also prepared without traces of seasoning and the fish meat was dry. on the note that we unanimously noticed the lack of spiciness at duck and fish, the service told us that so pfeffer and salt stand on the table. Moreover, the service that cooked his 50th birthday in the kitchen, which could be traced to the noises, and finally a dj with his technical equipment moved into the oberschoss because of the birthday party, and the further stay in a savoury dizzying discolärm, in which newly arriving guests then the food was served. since any form of retaliation had become impossible, we then went to another restaurant for a pleasant sound of the evening. I recommend to avoid this experience, also because of the patty operation, this restaurant. it is to be assumed that eating in the old sweden is offered as sweetly prepared due to the same cooking team.
