Albrighton Fish Chips - Wolverhampton

We would like to express our gratitude to Albrighton Fish and Chip shop for providing us with outstanding fish and chips for the RNLI quiz night. Our 90 guests were delighted with the meal. The delivery service was prompt and the quality of the food was excellent. The atmosphere at the event was also great. We highly recommend trying the cod dish. Overall, we give a 5-star rating for the food, service, and atmosphere.

The takeaway is popular for its fish and chips, with many people claiming it's the best in Shropshire. However, I was disappointed during my visit. They were out of mushy peas and large sausages, the chips were dry and chewy, and the service was unfriendly. It was also inconvenient that they only accept cash. I probably won't be returning. Generally, a pleasant establishment with great staff, chips/fish/battered items super fresh and tasty. However, I 'm a fan of kebab chicken (upright and grilled, like a lamb kebab is . On my recent visit I ordered a chicken 'mix ' (Mediterranean and Plain and it was served to me from 'warming draws- where you would expect peas/gravy/curry sauce . Not sure if you 're aware, but putting the chicken into these 'drawers ' does NOT keep it moist and pleasant to eat. It dries out and becomes very chewy indeed, sometimes to the point of being inedible. (Mostly my case today sadly . If I were to visit again (being local, it 's likely I will have to insist if I do require a large portion of mixed chicken, it be solely from the 'upright grill ' and most definitely NOT from the warming drawers. Very disappointed as I expected much much more from the staff and establishment. Particularly too, the fact I choose to go to Albrighton Fish and Chips shop well ahead of Rumbles, who do something very similar with both the Chicken Kebab and the Doner Meat too.
