This is a lovely tree covered area with a space for playing corn hole, hammocks around, picnic tables with umbrellas and lots of other seating. We were so happy that the llamas were there eating and posing for pictures and a donkey showed up. The local beer Live Oak Gold (Austin, TX) we got was cold and good. The Gringas Grub Shack food truck had some nice options. My husband and I chose a ground beef quesadilla and a chicken quesadilla to share. We both liked the ground beef one best. My husband got us a to go box to take leftovers with us and happened to mention our preference which seemed to create some fun competition comments between the cooks.
Fun place, we took our dog. Beer and wine at the bar, food from the truck. Too easy, and a great view.
The views made the short drive well worth it. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see the Llamas but the donkeys were out and waiting to be fed. Be aware that there is a playground so it can get noisy from the little ones but there's lots of room to spread out and enjoy the atmosphere.
We went during the day and the view was nice. They have a good setup with chairs and tables to enjoy the view and just relax. It was a bit chilly so the llamas were not out but we did get to see the donkeys. The food by Gringas Grub Shak was not good! The hamburger was dry and over seasoned. The fries have the same seasoning and they are good so it was not the seasoning itself but rather the chef.
What a fun taste of Texas! We visited with my sister for lunch on a beautiful afternoon. There are two food trucks and we had a brisket sandwich. It was a little pricey, but delicious. They have tons of seating where you can hang out for as long as you like. They also have fire pits and corn hole.
