Very busy, which is always a good sign! The portions were large and the service friendly. Would have got 5 stars but the batter on the fish wasn't the very best, there were 4 adults and 3 kids, £75.

I had a round roe that was RAW!!!! Disgusting! The chips were far too many, soggy and stuck together. Potentially the fish was good but as the roe was undercooked it put us off our meal. There are better fish and chip shops around Worcester.

Touring around Britain, as an American, I have found that the fish and chips can be so hit and miss. This place is getting it right I placed an order for large cod and chips at 13:45, aware they closed in 15mins. First, they cooked the fish fresh to order, unlike some chippies which have everything waiting in the hot cupboard before close, making the fish dry. This was probably the nicest cod I've eaten from any chippy in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. So moist, meaty and the batter was crisp and light, without being too thick or hardened as it sometimes happens. I couldn't believe the portion size of the large chips, they tasted great too. My wife and I shared the meal and struggled to finish. Extremely good quality, and value. The guy that served me was very friendly also. Keep doing what you're doing guys, fish and chips is an institution and well done for maintaining the standards and tradition where so many places have gone down hill.
