The Wild Duck - Workington

The staff were brilliant and the food excellent. Only complaint is a good one the portion of lovely food was huge. Highly recommended we will be back soon

Just been to the Wild Duck for our evening meal. I had the fish and chips meal (well it was Friday) and the wife had the scampi both lovely. The service was first class. The meal was very, very good and the portions well totally filling , thank you. Definitely will return !!!! The only downside would be the plates are not big enough for the large portions that came on them lol

Enjoyed a mid-week trip to The Wild Duck. Service was prompt and of high standard. The food speaks for itself. Will certainly be returning.

Attempted visit 8,4,23 at 4.47pm. After arriving after a 4mile walk we was glad to come across this pub. First glance, 2 cyclist enjoying a ice cold pint. Enter the bar to be told "bar not open till 5* confused look back at the cyclist. Was is some thing I said? Is it The way I was dressed? Returned outside to break the news to my thirsty partner and two dogs. Has that just happened? We watched the two cyclist return their 2 empty glasses back through the window to the gagging barmaid. Absolutely disgusting!! What is a dieing trade, I hope the next time I visit this beautiful place I find this dirty hole closed indefinitely. Ps, landlord or manager, check your cctv if you have it Avoid this place, it needs a good clean and decent staff. Clean the dimps outside.. Following on Annette, I 'm surprised you found my dummy amongst all the dimps out side of your mucky pub!! Ps That 13mins didn 't apply to the cyclist did it? Give that pub and good clean and encourage your staff to have a good wash too.

Years since we were here. Loved it meals were spot on. Quick friendly service. As good as when Sandra ran the place.
