Há alguns anos, Grigio é o restaurante casual goto da minha família. Gostamos muito da comida, do ambiente e do jardim no verão. Quando chegamos ... e fomos conduzidos à nossa mesa na menor das duas salas de jantar, uma das mulheres ao nosso lado, muito perto de nós, deu-me as boas-vindas ordenando-me que tomasse cuidado com o nosso cão! Não há dúvida se era normal sentar-se tão perto de um cachorro, especialmente porque o cachorro estava literalmente debaixo da MINHA cadeira! Eu disse que sim, que me incomodava e que não achava apropriado levar cachorros a um restaurante. A mulher detestável, a dona do cachorro, puxou a coleira e puxou o pobre cachorro em sua direção de modo que ele girou! Ela então começou a fazer críticas contra quem odiava cães, supostamente eu etc. Pedi a ela que ficasse quieta. Mas também fiquei muito zangado e disse a ela para cuidar das pessoas que podem ser alérgicas a cães e que, para os que não são donos, os cães geralmente cheiram mal. Isso quase levou a um ataque cardíaco na mulher bastante gorda, que agora gritava pelo garçom. Sem saber o que havia acontecido, o dono ficou bastante irritado e me disse que, se eu não gostasse de cachorros em restaurantes, precisaria comer em outro lugar. Isso é o que eu achei inapropriado: tirar conclusões precipitadas, intensificar o conflito, tomar partido em vez de suavizar as coisas. Não é legal. O dono do cachorro raivoso estava insistindo para que saíssemos, usando as palavras do dono do restaurante para significar que estávamos sendo expulsos. Longe da verdade. O proprietário aparentemente lamentou sua reação precipitada ou recuperou o rumo como um homem de negócios deveria fazer. Ele nos indicou uma mesa mais afastada do grupo com o cachorro. Ignorei os gritos contínuos da grande dona da cadela e me concentrei em meus dois companheiros de jantar. O resto da refeição foi agradável, até propositalmente agradável, entre o dono do restaurante e nós. Ainda assim, não consigo superar a agressividade com que ele respondeu à minha reclamação justificada e a reação histérica do estranho à minha objeção de dividir um pequeno espaço com seu cachorro de aparência humana. Para que conste: eu gosto de cachorros! Acontece que trazer cães para um restaurante é basicamente permitido na Alemanha, desde que o dono do restaurante permita. Agora vamos à comida: as saladas são muito boas, assim como a maioria dos pratos de pizza e massa. No entanto, o meu prato especial, camarão com salada de folhas verdes, estava salgado demais. O tiramisu estava bom. Faltou o sabor forte do café expresso e da marsala. Em vez disso, tinha um gosto muito doce. O jovem garçom foi encantador e útil. Para a melhor experiência, faça reservas para a grande sala de jantar. É muito melhor do que o menor. No verão, é incrível sentar sob as árvores do lado de fora em um jardim.
