Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy partner booked a table here in February, the day before Valentine's Day. We often travel to this region and always try different places, especially if they have a dedicated vegan menu. I truly appreciate when a chef takes the time to address dietary preferences, which earns them an extra star in my book. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the maître d' and shown to our table, which offered a lovely view of the dam. The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance with soft lighting, making it an ideal spot for couples dining. The overall formal atmosphere set my expectations high. We ordered champagne while we contemplated our meal choices.
It was an incredibly delicious experience. The atmosphere was luxurious and prestigious. We thoroughly enjoyed the set menu, which included a zucchini soup, bread with truffle butter, grilled hapuka with vegetables, Brussels sprouts, and a pear tart with Chantilly cream. Each dish was of the highest quality and beautifully presented. The house wines were also quite good. Both waiters were very professional, and we appreciated their personal recommendations.
First of all, the pictures online do not do this place justice. The location is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the accommodations are exceptional. The restaurant is situated at the end of the lake, and in the evening, it’s a breathtaking sight to see the light reflected on the water’s surface. The decor is clean, simple, and elegantly understated. The menu features dishes inspired by local cuisine. We started with the seafood tortellini, which was exquisite. Next, we enjoyed a seafood platter that was impressive, featuring fresh ingredients complemented by beautifully paired sauces. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which was the best I’ve had outside of France. The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was delightful, especially with the morning light streaming in. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
We visited cape lodge again for our jubilee celebration. Of course, this is the best choice if we are not gone. we found that cape lodge has increased its standard both in food and service. all in all, another wonderful meal in margaret river!
Came here for a romantic dinner with my partner on a Friday night. We had the option of degustation $195 or 4 course meal for $120. My partner and I chose the four course meal. I was so filled by the time I finished my main that I don't know how I would have gone if we opted for the degustation. For starters my partner and I had the trout and the prawn dishes. For starters we had the cod and the duck salad. For main we had goose and pink snapper. For dessert we had bread and butter pudding and chocolate mousse. The highlight for us were the trout and prawns. The goose was too rich for me that my partner ended up eating the most. I found the bread and butter a little dry for my...read more
