Ela volta daqui a pouco e diz 'a ordem vai demorar'!
Apna dhaba has both AC and non AC seating. Went there for dinner after a tiresome day. The table they provided us was not clean, there was some Biryani rice on the chair, I asked the waitress to clean it and she just removed the rice and then I told her to clean it with a wet cloth, she made a face and asked someone else to do it. So first impression was bad. Then we ordered special chicken biryani, a thumbs up and a lassi. Before the order came we had ask for glasses a several number of times. Then they brought our mineral water bottle and didn't even serve. Then came our food, the biryani is a boneless one served with an omelette and a boiled egg. It tasted good, maybe because we were really hungry. The lassi was a regular one. The food was good but they definitely must improve their service and hygiene. The pricing of the food is affordable. There was a family behind us who had ordered dosas and were furious because it tasted really bad and was cold. They left but there was another family who were in high praise of their food. Maybe it depends on your food choices.

The first impression was not good. We asked for aloo parantha which was not available, so we settled for tandoori roti with bhindi masala. In a few minutes the waitress came back saying tandoori roti is not available, so we opted for phulkas. She comes back in a while and says 'order will take time'! By then we were annoyed so we asked them to cancel it, she hurried into the kitchen and we got our food after 10 minutes. Unfortunately the roti was not properly cooked an the bhindi masala was extremely oily. The waiters just stand around staring at the patrons, around 4 of them! Maybe we went there at a wrong time (12.45), but didn't leave a very good impression at all!
Jack of all and master of some. A value dhadha with limited frills but big on taste (on some items). Its like a food court on the road considering they serve more than just Punjabi cuisine. They have stalls outside that serve indochinese, limited south Indian and continental. Their starters and main dishes like aloo palak and dal fry were excellent but ironically their pulkas weren't...which are usually the standard for any dhabha. Interior was poor and halfdone..hoping they will get it done by our next visit for an improved experience.
