Avaliação da contribuiçãoRegarding the food, I tried several items. I had the Alondra's Gold wings, which had great flavor and were spicy, but not overwhelming. Next time, I think I'll opt for boneless wings instead. The pretzel served with what I believe was beer cheese dip was also quite tasty. The pizza stood out as well, with a nice, moist crust and delicious sauce. I sampled a few beers, and the standout was the Juicy Liu hazy IPA. While a couple of others were good, they didn't quite measure up to that one. However, I do have to deduct a star for the service. Our waitress seemed a bit out of her depth and didn’t fully understand the menu. There were several inaccuracies in the descriptions of menu items, and some orders were mixed up. She also tended to come over at awkward moments, reaching across people at the table while we were eating. It truly felt like it was her first day, and I’m sure she will improve with more experience.
To make matters worse, a member of the party behind us came in with their dog, and the dog was promptly given water. This was just ridiculous! Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and have one myself, but we were waiting the entire time, and my kids were thirsty too! So, we eventually decided to leave. Was it because of our race? It's hard to say. But it's clear that this place doesn’t care about receiving a bad review; people will still come here. Perhaps they'll eventually take notice of their poor customer service, but for now, it’s evident they are overlooking it.
I was very disappointed with my experience from the start. We waited a long time for our drinks—about 10 minutes—only for our server to come back after 20 minutes to take our order. We ordered the Arlene wings, but received regular hot wings instead. The wings were cold, and we didn’t even get all of our order. I’d advise against coming here if you’re looking for good service. Every time we asked for something, it took another 10 minutes for a different waiter to respond, and she never followed through on our requests. This experience has made me regret choosing this restaurant. Additionally, they do not accept MVP points here. I really wish a manager or owner would reach out to me so I could explain just how terrible this experience was. I definitely won’t be returning.
SO happy to have an Alondra Hot Wings in OC. I have been going to all their other locations for years, and they are the best for wings, pizza and CHEESE balls! This location is great, and I love that it is partnered with Taps Brewery. We stopped in 2 Sundays ago for the first time. We walked in through the Alondra's entrance, but got seated on the Taps side. We were very impressed with the extensive drink menu. My husband got the house ale, and I got the Rum Daisy martini. It was one of the best martinis I have ever had. I can't wait to go back and have some more. We ordered our traditional Alondra's favorites: Wings, Cheeseballs, and a side of fries. Everything was so yummy. We got the lemon pepper and the garlic parm. Both were superb. The fries were delicious. The cheese balls were perfection as always. The Taps menu has lots of great items too, and I would love to try the steak sandwich or the fish and chips. It's nice to know there is live music here, as we are always looking for a places to hear live music. The staff was friendly and we look forward to adding this to our dining rotation. There are great pizza wings deals we also can't wait to try.
First time coming to Alondra's pizza. Upon entering the location the staff was very friendly and advised me that there is a delay in my order however to make myself comfortable as one of the staff members would gladly serve you while waiting. The bartender who was an elderly gentleman assisted me and being a first time at this location, he provided recommendations without any type of feedback of being not knowledgeable about the beers they have available. The beer he recommended was a great pick and shortly after he went out of his way to grab my order from the back once it was ready and was able to complete my transaction without needing to go out front. Cons: The only disappointment I had with was the pizza. Hearing the raving reviews about their wings I thought I'd take a shot at their Hawaiian pizza and to my discontent was not satisfied. The pizza had a bit of a burnt taste and the sauce lacked a bit of flavor. The toppings were great but overall which is why I am giving this place a 4/5. Summary: The ambiance is great to bring a date or hangout with friends. Pizza not so great so def go with the wings!
