The Bay Horse - York

I stayed at the bay horse in room 1. Be aware that the en suite bathroom has no heating and is part of a lean too. Consequently when it's cold as it was last night, the bathroom is quite literally freezing. The room had a heater and was actually fine, but it was too cold to contemplate a shower and there was no shampoo or soap provided so it was out of the question anyway. Service: 3

There is no restaurant on the premises, so guests will need to dine elsewhere or bring their own food. The owner was helpful, but guests may need to be self-sufficient at night as there is limited support available. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and parking is available on site. The service and atmosphere are rated 3 out of 5.

The room is clean and comfortable, making it perfect for an overnight stay.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. They no longer offer Sunday takeout but the prices have gone up slightly. The service is excellent and the meal options are varied. The average cost per person is between £10 and £20.

Who doesn't serve pizza past 6 on a pizza night? Absolute joke.
