Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat ramen, food selection and Asian fusion dishes which all look and taste great! Service is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating- a win win. You won't regret coming here to eat some good ramen, especially to melt off the chill outside and warm yourself up.
Made a take out online for delivery with deliveroo and my, were we not satisfied with the foods. Total cost was £34.There was a big selection for take out but we came down to: 1. Pad thai with chicken and prawns 2. Broccoli and bok choi side 3. Katsu currychicken (fried chicken) 4. White chocolate ginger cheesecake The food tasted and looked as if it was microwaved in their tins. The chicken from the pad thai tasted like frozen chicken and the noodles were just not the best. The broccoli and bok choi was very dissatisfying with presentation of long stem broccolis and how little there was in it. Looked like left overs. There were no taste and drenched in oil and soy sauce. The curry chicken sauce smelled delicious but looked drying. Not sure if it was the delivery time issue or just in general. Delievery time was about 50 minutes which is decent timing and the food shouldnt be bad that fast. Along came with a side of salad and to be honest we didnt want to even try it. Take a look at the pictures as i opened the meals. Lastly the cheesecake smells wonderful. Gave it a taste test and it was very soft and extremely sweet depending on your liking.
When its cold outside and you want some soup as a pick me up, Wagamama 's is always a safe bet. Unfortunately, only food quality translated to this location. My friend was feeling a bit under the weather, so we opted to drop in. The place had the front rooms pretty packed, so we opted to sit in the back room where the kitchen is. Service was incredibly slow. When our server finally arrived at our table (about 10 minutes after we were seated), there were 2 servers a trainee and presumably supervisor. The supervisor explained everything in painful detail to the trainee as she took our order, which was very off putting. I understand you need to train employees, but you shouldn 't force paying customers to partake in the training. Furthermore, we could overhear the trainee and supervisor talking when we first arrived on whether to take our order or check in on a different customer. Apparently the right answer was the latter, as we weren 't even warranted a basic we 'll be right with you . My food came out 10 minutes after my friends, and both our food came out late in general. Customers who were seated after us and ordered later got their food sooner. The food was decent, as per Wagamama usual I got the duck donburi and my friend ramen. I wish this place could be a staple for the Asian food I sometimes crave, but the service would have to make leaps and bounds. Wait until you 're out of the city to go get Wagamama 's at a location that cares.
I find York quite a confusing windy place, and so when we were running out of time I chose this chain out of convenience .. Stepping in from the busy street into a large open space we hovered around to be seated. Eventually sat at a bench we looked at the menus. For those that have not been to Wagamamas before do not expect any sense of order to your food. You might get your main course served before your starter, while your companion has not been served at all . They do prewarn you of this, however no one has taken the time to explain why this is so. We were originally assigned a waiter who ended up telling another waiter to serve us.. the lack of organisation was very apparent..just the simple things like taking empty glasses away..which they did not . Anyway the mocktails were very much like a cold soup, very thick and savoury. I recommend the chicken dumplings to my dad for a l starter which i later felt bad because they were quite flavourless. My prawn ones had a nice filling but the pastry was dry. For our mains these were an improvement. To be honest I forgot how wholesome their broths were. I chose the green thai curry prawn soup dish with lots of udon noodles. My dad had a chicken Thai green curry with rice. He said it was tasty but I not see much chicken..unless it was hidden in the rice dome. To finish i always enjoy a nice pot of green tea. This was presented in a clear cup with a tea pig brand sachet bobbing in it..which I felt cheated. Over all the service was satisfactory..and it's not a bad chain. At least you know what you are going to get..
If you don't know what to eat, Yasai Itame combined with a fresh pressed juice is always a safe bet for lunch. Wagamama is Wagamama. Anywhere.
