Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe were initially looking for another restaurant in town but never did find it. We walked by this place a few times but were hesitant because there was no one there. Regardless we ended up going and had the whole place to ourselves. The wine was very good and the bread served as an appetizer was quite tasty (served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil). We both opted for pasta, especially since it's made fresh onsite. Service was impeccable and we enjoyed our table outside; watching passer-byes. When we were leaving the owner or manager waved to us and said "thank you" for coming bye.
Authentic Italian, eat the pasta, you will lick your plate clean! The service is superb. The atmosphere is lively
We stumbled upon this restaurant one evening when I was craving pasta, having outdone myself with the Mexican food. The atmosphere is lovely- nice street dining on a closed street, where you could almost convince yourself you were in Europe. It was quite noisy, with lots of large tables and what were obviously repeat visitors. The owner/manager was quite visible, lots of hugging and kissing between her and her guests, which was nice to see, but made me feel a bit odd to be seated in the midst of it. But she did her best to ensure we were comfortable too. While we were walking past, we had two tables call out to us that "This" was the place! Fair enough, we gave it a try. I had a pasta with clams (I asked for red sauce and the chef agreed). It was just okay, in the sense that there really wasn't much sauce (I couldn't have used bread to mop up anything at all), and that itself was fresh tasting but bland. Hubby had a ravioli (homemade) and said it was good, though maybe a bit under-cooked for his taste. We had some wine by the glass, no complaints there, and it was room temp, which was a wonderful surprise! We shared a tiramisu for dessert and I pronounced it the best I've ever had. I think I would recommend this restaurant for someone wanting a nice setting and some decent food - the prices are bit more than I've seen for comparable meals elsewhere in town, but then again you are experiencing a setting that's a bit out of the ordinary too.
