El Viejo - Zihuatanejo de Azueta

not even close, it is the best restaurant I have eaten in baja california. I've been a lot of places and had no grilled shrimp quesadilla or carne queensadilla better than this place.

about the half of los barriles is ex-pat, and I think they all have to meet this place 3 times a week. the ground is abundant, inexpensive, fresh quality food served by efficient staff. no trip here is completed without break in taqueria el viejo.

we ate here at our first day in the city - it is a casual, relaxed environment that we were quickly set off. they have an entertaining bar of taco toppings, so they can dress up their tacos as they want. with icey cold beer, the fish. garnelen tacos were freshly delicious.

This place is the best for tacos and their taco bar. Shrimp or chicken tacos is my favorite. Must try it! Great for breakfast also!

No frills but an awesomely simple concept with top your own tacos. Wish they were open for dinner, however!
