Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy group thought the music was too loud at this restaurant, making it hard to hear each other. The menu wasn't very appealing, leading three of us to only order appetizers. Additionally, the main courses were pricey. Overall, we would choose a different restaurant for a friends' gathering in the future.
The food at this restaurant was mediocre and the prices for alcohol were very high. We were surprised to find that a glass of wine cost £14, as the staff did not inform us of the prices beforehand. These are prices we would expect to find at a high-end restaurant, not at a casual dining establishment. Additionally, paying £5 for a 330ml alcohol-free beer and £6 for a 330ml beer seemed excessive. The dishes we ordered, such as the Caesar salad and fish risotto, were disappointing and overpriced at upwards of £20 each. The salad was strange and the fish in the risotto was either overcooked or too smoky, with no salt in the dish. We visited on a Monday to participate in an open mic session, but due to the high prices, we do not plan on returning. It is questionable whether others will continue to patronize the restaurant with such expensive alcohol prices.
The interior is pleasant as were staff. Main course was lukewarm; staff did apologise and reheat, but vegetables came back slightly mushy. No reduction was offered. Despite being asked, we couldn't get smaller (125mls) wine measures, only 175mls and 250mls, a bit uncivilised for an upmarket restaurant. While dietary guidance was very good on starters and mains, there was none on desserts. Overall, a mediocre dining experience. particularly at the price.
We had an American Waitress who was delightful, great wine too
Second time here. Food is always amazing and drinks are fantastic. It’s a must when we visit Aberdeen.
