Casino Wirtshaus - Amberg

The food turned out to be very good, however, we would probably make it a lunch destination...........not dinner! A fairly limited menu.They do have alcohol, but also VERY limited options. It's pretty casual; nothing fancy, but again.......it turns out we did like the food! We...made the mistake of waiting until ten days out to make a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner, which by that time all better options were already booked! Who knew? Next year we will book in January!

A nice place for some good food pre shows that also has some different local beer to try as well as the normal brands on offer. It did get a bit busy just before the show but they managed to serve everyone easily.

Exzellent service.. whenever I am coming back to Amberg from Cairns Australia the last years I make sure to visit this place .. nice atmosphere.. nice beer garden.. central location..

The Ambience was nice enough, being a large room that was mostly empty when I was there. I would imagine it would be noisy if really busy. Service was fine, and the house dark beer from cask was excellent. However, the Osso Buco Bavarian style...was tough and not that flavorful, and the brezeknodel was bland. Perhaps they do better with true Bavarian classics, but this what I was served was average, at best.

A local couple took me to this place after arriving an Amburg and I'm glad they did. We went the night of it's year anniversary and ate outdoors. The food was delicious, the beer was good, and the locals were very friendly. A great...restaurant in a charming town.
