Gwennies Old Alaska Restaurant

It’s a fun place to experience. However, it is not clean, and the food is ok. For example, they bring cream to the table in a stainless steal carafe but it stays there until more is needed. If you don’t drink you water the pitcher stays there for the next customer.

Fantastic service, large portions of delicious comfort foods and a great eclectic environment. Very friendly servers who were helpful in answering questions about menu items. Great coffee, fantastic reindeer sausage, great omelette! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Food and service was excellent with a really unique atmosphere. Portions are very large. Large parking lot that easily accommodates campers.

Best steak and eggs ever! Gwennies knows how to do steak for breakfast. (Most places serve little pieces of chewy beef that you regret ordering. The steak at Gwennies was tender, good portioned, juicy, full of flavor and cooked exaclty as ordered. Gwennies is popular, so if you come during busy hours you can expect a wait. But the food is worth waiting for!

We ate breakfast at Winnie’s. We had a little bit of everything and it was all excellent. I would highly recommend eating while in Anchorage
