Having lunch while on the go is a benefit of being a traveling salesman who sells plastic auxiliary equipment.
I visited this charming local restaurant on my way to a football game at Allegheny College. I enjoy discovering hometown places like this. The breakfast was fantastic.
We have been eating here for years, back when it was Clara's place many years ago. It's been Fu Wah restaurant for many years now after the former owners moved here from Kentville. Even though the owners have changed, the food is still first rate. We love their shrimp chips and the homemade plum sauce. Their meat egg rolls are so yummy, and they one of a few restaurants here in the Valley who serves beef and tomato. ...If you haven't tried Fu Wah on the main road in Aylesford , I suggest you give it a go.....We prefer it over the over options in Kingston/Greenwood....
Arrived here for lunch soon after they opened at noon. Obviously...they turn the heat off or down considerably as the temp in the restaurant was downright frigid. People there ahead of us had their winter coats on, arms wrapped around their bodies trying to keep warm. I ordered 2 meat egg rolls and hubby ordered a hamburger. He told her specifically what he wanted for toppings. When the food arrived the waitress told us to be careful...the egg rolls are piping hot were her exact words. The plate was so cold that the egg roll was barely warm inside...hardly piping hot.Hubby's hamburger bun was ice cold..not heated...at all. He said the burger itself tasted pre-cooked or warmed in the microwave, very rubbery and chewy. It was also covered in toppings he did not order.Definitely our last visit here...
