Good family style Chinese food. Great place for parties. Not the most beautiful place, but good food.

This place has polarising reviews. I can see some people don't like the owner. It has its unique character and unconventional service. I think you feel it either as a big ego that is hard to digest or the pride that comes with a craftsman spirit. In any case, I have to say that food is simply consistently amazing. I've been here for many times in the last 5 years. It probably has the best northeastern Chinese food in the eastern bay. If you do not like the service and want to rate 0 stars, the food is worth 10 stars. On average, there are 5 stars.

TL;DR eccentric owner, great food. The restaurant is on the second floor. Because of the low footfall you might be mistaken that it's closed because the owner turns the lights off. The owner is the sort of character that comes in mind when you think of an Asian dad. He runs the whole restaurant alone and his service can come off as rude, but I don't think he's actually trying to be rude. The food is quite authentic, it's a great low key place if you can order in chinese/cantonese.

I often visit this excellent restaurant as I can enjoy the ambience that is unique to this restaurant. The crew is very loving and skillful. The service is exceptionally fast. Even the food they prepare is good. I came more than once and I was always thrilled. The rate is honest. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The owner is very busy but friendly. He is a bit silent but he is very hardworking. Visited just now for the first time and the food is amazing. He need to do all the stuff by himself so prepare you might need to wait a bit
