Map Room - Chicago

I was just at the Maproom today. The bartender Chris asked upon arrival what are you doing here? I responded this is a bar open to the public right? I stated I would only be there for a beer or two he mumbles that’s good. Then after 10 minutes in the place a guy comes up and sit down next to me and ask me Did you steal my stuff? He was white I am black. I was highly offended and I let him know about it in a calm way no yelling or cursing. The bartender was heard apologizing to the racist because I called him out! Not a place for black or brown people to visit and feel comfortable period!

I had a couple great pints at The Map Room in Chicago. The bartender was super knowledgeable about his beers and the vibe was great! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Best beer selection in the area. The interior theme is also fairly unique. Good amount of space, it doesn't feel cramped.

Great, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service. One star for food because they don't have food. :
