Bread seemed okay but after the first bite I knew it was a mistake. What do you use, Cat food or Dog food. It was the most disturbing taste. I've smelled **** that had a better aroma then the **** you pass off as food! I'll be sending samples to a independent lab and to the Health dept. God help you if it comes back as anything less then meat!! Avoid this shithole. Just a little update. They are out of business. They store has been refurbished and soon to be a new pizza place.
I walked in to get a calzone when the manager who walked in from the restaurant side asked me what I wanted. I told him a calzone. He proceed to grab my calzone with his bare dirty hands when I said excuse me He ignored me and put my calzone in the microwave I said what are you doing? He 's like I have to heat it up before I put it in the oven I 'm like oh no wait a minute there 's nothing Italian about that. He 's like we 've done it like this for years I 'm like I don 't think so. Listen up here people. The food is pre-made yes I understand but to put it in the microwave first? Be careful fine dining in this place as your expensive plate might 've been put in a microwave first
My family has been coming here for so many years. We even come for our Christmas Eve dinner. The food is always so amazing and everyone working is so nice and friendly. The staff is incredibly attentive, even when it's packed. My family orders way too much food and try to order different dishes when we come. Everything has been speculator!
Used to go here with The Ex when we were young and whatever. He introduced me to veal francese here, so I couldn't help but feel nostalgic when I passed by on my way to the new Latin place a few doors down. Wellll...the new Latin place hadn't opened yet (still under construction? , so I went back to Villa B. The restaurant half wasn't open yet, so I asked on the pizza side whether I could take out an entree. No prob! Veal parm without cheese--what's it called, veal Milanese? Veal cutlet plain, with sauce. Great, that's for me. Veg and pasta? One or the other. Okay, spinach. I was surprised at how good it was--and still reasonably warm after the trip home. Veal was tender, sauce fresh and textured, spinach nice and garlicky. The bread included was a good chunk, and good quality. The whole thing was better than I expected. And bigger too--leftovers next day!
I've loved the pizza here for many years. My parents live close by, and I can't resist stopping by for a slice. It's a great Neapolitan style Bronx pizza. Yum!
