Avaliação da contribuiçãoKirchenstübl in Deidesheim Germany a great culinary discovery of a small side street. We came around 1730 without reservation, but the hostess warmly invited us to a table with the understanding that it was reserved by another party for 1900. That said we never felt hurried. Our waiter, Sathick (apologise my possibly misleading name of this gentleman) was very helpful with understanding our dinner options in view of our flowing in the German language leaves much to be desired. On the warm welcome the food was absolutely delicious. My partner had Cordon Bleu and I tried something new, soaking with sauerkraut. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. What a great atmosphere in which to dine and relax.
This is a small jewel in Deidesheim, on a non-descriptive corner, opposite the church. I wanted a simple food and a glass of wine for my dinner in Deidesheim (in both L.A. Jordan and Schwarzer Hahn already gedimt). The church chair fits the bill. I had Saumagen for the first time and it was delicious. Along with a glass of local Riesling. I had no reservation, but the manager found a place for me at a table. Very nice!
When you visit the area, this is a must, its all traditional, but brought to a very high quality level actually. Can be hard to find, I am often asked by people in the street as his hidden from the main wine road behind the Sparkasse Ban, you can simply find the bank on the main road. I had a pig dish that was very tasty and very well cooked. My wife had a fantastic steak, she is restless about steak as in quality and how well cooked both place on. Very nice staff also, English also spoken if you need. Not negative, but quite small and very cozy, you could share a small table at the end, but this is anyway normal in Germany, definately recommended to book.

If Grandma was a local lass that had spent a lifetime working to perfect the recipes handed down to her, then eating here would bring back fond childhood memories for you. If you want to sample the classic cuisine of this area in a relaxed atmosphere then this is the place for you. That fact has not been missed by the locals. It is a popular place. Service is friendly and efficient. The interior is homey and comfortable, the epitome of the small German restaurant.
