Avaliação da contribuição5 of us, from the usa, 1 local colleagues and 4 of our customers in the party. booking was arranged for us, so I had no idea what to expect was not seen any reviews in advance. after 3 days steakhouses (what is it about dresden and steakhouses? I was prepared for bigger kittens, but the menu turned out to be a joy! I started with the scallops, went with the mangalica pork and ended with a delicious dessert from the day menu. I love that Germany has so many great alcohol-free beer that kept my head clear to enjoy the food, although I enjoy a glass of a recommended local red wine with the black. friendly staff. can not comment on the bill as I stuck it with a colleague! although the use of English was no problem at all, I can recommend google translate with camera to read the special board outside works surprisingly well.
This place is wonderful. we had the surprise menu that was a bargain at 48 €. eating was exquisite- looked beautiful and was absolutely delicious. portions were quite large, but we did not complain
We have selected the restaurant in the frame of the cooking hours. my friends, where first unsafe, why I chose this restaurant with this menu, but once we started, we were just blown away. we chose the complete menu and the supportive wine selection for...2 of us. (the fish course was a la carte of the 3rd person who did not have the set menu. our goal was to understand the menu and see how well the food and the wine have worked together. I could go into the details, but leave it briefly. the food always worked with the wine. the taste was just perfect! Roman and diana, where amazing workers who gave us a great experience. both were highly qualified and know. we have always challenged the sommelier of his wine selection as part of the menu and he could defend it every time. he was right with his choice: one of the highlights was the truffled nut butter potato pureeee . it was soouo good that we ordered an additional part. we finished our evening with a mandarine brand and left after 5 hours with a smile on our cheerful. thanks to the team and the chefs. you were all amazing!
It won't be much better. we ordered the surprise 8 curs menu and a bottle of very local Saxon wine. the surprises did not stop. small dishes, each so different from the other with wonderful and surprising taste. all served with grace and explanations....Some of them deprived us, as not all server had enough English, but they really tried and it is Germany (we see a German-speaking server in an English-speaking country) all in all very recommended
After visiting Hellerau, stopped for lunch at Schmidt's, a proponent of slow food directly inside the gate of the fabled workshops of the Deutsche Werkstaetten Hellerau. Service was friendly but the one person waitstaff seemed to have been overwhelmed when 10 people walked in at...about the same time. The resulting slow food was superb, especially the forest mushroom soup that had the delicious aroma and tasted of forest air. The main plate came with salmon, but I asked for it without. The meal's price was right, too.
