Betty Jane Homemade Candies - Dubuque

I bought some gremlins awhile back and unfortunately they changed how they boxed them so they can't see how they look. I took them in laughter and opened them when we came to our destination. I was really upset after I had opened them before friends after I had begged them to find the gray colors. I didn't even want to eat one. I have made a photo and when I came home, I was told to call dredging or manager at asbury bj. No one contacted me, even though I left 4-5 postings. I went into the loading in asbury, showed her my photo and she said it was because I put her in laughter. I almost laughed when I often took gremlins on flights and never had a problem. After she stood there waiting for her to do something, she finally asked if I wanted a new box. I said yes, but only if I could see them first. this happened a past back, but a friend had the same. they will not do anything for them unless they have a photo or sweetness. not good!

Purchased chocolate today, Feb. 17, 2022. I asked that the date of production be checked. You must ask, as they use the Julian calendar. A simple expiration date on the package is not available. I was told that the candy was produced on July 20, 2021. This is not the first time for us that the candy was aged.

I purchased two boxes of gremlins as gifts. When opened, the milk chocolate gremlins were milky and looked like they were freezer burned. No one ate them as they looked awful. When I contacted Betty Jane about this embarrassing gift, Drew Siegert told me it was chocolate bloom and they were safe to eat. I have been buying chocolates from Betty Jane for over 50 years and have never experienced this. I was very disappointed in this product and will now be buying my chocolates from See Chocolates.

I almost laughed as I have taken Gremlins before on a plane and never had any issues. After discussing this with her, she finally asked if I wanted a new box. I said if I could see them first. This happened awhile back, but a friend just told me she took Gremlins in the past month and they looked the same way.
