The Smokestack - Dubuque

God, this nice place in Dubuque! The live music was very soulful and organic, and the bar itself has a great ambience. There are several levels to this building and all are very artistic and modern. Great place to spend an evening!

Great place! On Thursday they hosted open microphone from Chad Olson. So if you play or sing, come down. Have fun. There are always different musicians over. On the first Friday every month they make a bluegrass jam. You have a large roof terrace with AstroTurf. They cure live music and DJ's on the weekend until midnight on the roof. Just check their website to see who is being introduced. The owners are really nice people. The bartenders are super inviting and keep the place nice and clean. Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures. I don't have a great camera on the phone.

The owners are super fun, chilled out and watched anime with them on a big screen one night and only bsd for a few hours right up. The Halloween art event was the funniest thing!

This place needs a 10-star rating, but unfortunately there were only five. The events they have done are almost magical and people are the kind of unmatched personality that is difficult to find in any business. Good people good hearts good drinks good mood!

Very groovy atmosphere and live music apparently all the time. Maybe it was the whiskey, but I had a blast here. Next time I'm in Dubuque I'm stopping back in.
