Avaliação da contribuiçãoYou only have something here if you really have to. The food is bad and too expensive. Even the drinks are inexpensive. The only thing that is good is the pizza that seems to be a little separated from the place as it has its own window....The pizza is good and the ingredients are fresh, but the offer is limited. I had the worst apple cake in Europe. Freeze, sealed and refused to heat. Even the cappuccino was subpar.
We got a quick lunch here, pizza, and we got what we wanted. The pizza is beautiful and also the delicious hot chocolate.
For my wife and me, the Belcafé on Bellevue Square is one of the most popular places in the city for several reasons. First, their coffee is of great quality, so their sandwiches are like those with roast beef we had this morning. The staff is...usually very friendly and they try to be as fast and efficient as possible, even if there is a queue at the switch, which is often the case. Alone, we like to sit inside the window and read one of the newspapers that are available and free to read. At other times we sit on one of the few tables outside, people watch over this busy place or with a conversation, sometimes with people from a neighboring table. Sometimes we arrange appointments with friends in the Belcafé, especially as it is in a place where several trams cross. We have a glass of white wine here before we go to a restaurant for dinner.
Says Espresso 2.90 order and it costs u 4.30. Why? You know, 2.90 is the Italian espresso called Ristretto. Check sign. Awful.
Open 7 days a week and early mornings, most customers come in for a quick beverage and/or a pastry to go while some have a seat at the round bar or at one of the window seats. There are also sidewalk tables at both sides...of the entrance and under the building over hang. At lunchtime, many of the school kids come by for a cheap from the backside take-away window then head over to the lake on nice weather days to enjoy their lunch and views. I was rather surprised they carried soy milk, and thus partook in a soy milk hot chocolate and a cherry pastry (8.60CHF), while the follow-up visit I ordered the plum dessert, both were fresh and delicious. They carry muesli, soup, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and retail items in addition to the take-away pizza window. My server, Constantine, was very nice and professional. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient, greeted you acknowledged you upon entering and all this so early in the morning. My second visit was just as good; as a young lady assisted me, sorry I did not get her name. If dining inside, I would advise to pay for your purchase upon ordering as the place has a very high volume of customers and the staff can get very busy making their tasty hot beverages, so it may take a moment to get your bill but they are still efficient. There is a newspaper and magazines rack, Wi-Fi, and a frequent visitor stamp card system. Though they do not have restrooms inside, just ask the staff and they will give you a receipt for free entry and access to use at the pay toilets on the opposite platform. Overall, a surprising and impressive visit. I will certainly visit again and Highly recommend.
