Colley Row Inn - Havering

I went to this pub with a group of friends last weekend. The exterior of the pub was not anything impressive, but the staff more than compensated with their excellent service and friendly smiles.

No one, including the staff, is wearing masks and there is no control at all. The only change from normal is that you can't go to the bar. It seems like they have stopped trying and just don't care. It may be your kind of place if you don't mind, but if you're trying to follow the rules, it's very disheartening.

I visited the restaurant on Friday, June 4th and unfortunately encountered a drunk man around 8:30-9 am. The police were called to the pub, but they couldn't identify the man due to poor CCTV footage quality. Despite this unfortunate incident, I still love this place and will continue to visit. The staff are lovely, and I won't let this incident deter me.

My Mother went to this Pub last Month with lots of her friends for a get together. She is 85 years old and one of the youngest in her group. As there was a 99p deal on coffee and being a pensioner on a budget she decided, as did others, to get this very reasonable beverage! To her horror the young lady serving her (or not serving i should say) would not get her a drink unless she paid first and by 'phone ' only! She had her debit card but this was refused when offered. Not only was this very embarrassing but meant that she had to wait an hour and half for a second drink as the young lady made a point of making her wait so much so that my mothers friends ordered Toast after being made to feel both guilty and intimidated!.. This is one of the worst stories I have heard since Covid struck in my opinion. I thought it was the old we were supposed to be looking after. DO NOT HELP KEEP THIS PUB STAY OPEN It is appauling behaviour in my opinion and everyone should know.

I am absolutely disgusted by the way my 90 year old grandmother and her book club where treated here last week. After waiting 90 minutes to be served cold coffees they were shouted at and abused by teenage staff who refused to get them sugars and completely blanked their requests for help! Not just this, but when they came to pay we’re told they could only pay by phone?! Not only is this illegal but was done so with malice to embarrass a group of old age pensioners. Do you think intimidating old ladies is funny? Your scummy staff are an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Avoid this backwater hellhole at all costs.
