Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis little kebab cafe and takeaway has been in Hobart for many years and consistently delivers delicious kebabs. My kebab was felafel with tahina and special salads. There is the option of a half or full size. There are three stools to eat in with or takeaway. It is opened Monday to Friday 1130 to 1430 and would recommend it if in the area and feeling like a good option for lunch. There are soft drinks for sale too. There are some benches nearby to enjoy it outside the Centrepoint car park Victoria Street side or the International Wall of Friendship at 188 Collins Street lower part near the ZAP gym entrance. Definitely would return.
The quality at this restaurant used to be great, especially my favorite dish which was the Standard roll with falafel and hot chili. Although it was a bit pricey at $12, it was always worth it because they were generous with the salads. However, now the quality has gone downhill. The lettuce and tomato are practically non-existent and there is hardly any chili. It's disappointing. I believe the restaurant must have changed ownership recently, which would explain the decline in quality. They have lost me as a customer.
I ordered the Lamb kebab. The meat was cooked medium with a pink hue, but it was dry and lacked flavor. The sauce was watery and lacked the creamy texture that comes from yogurt and spices. I prefer my meat to be juicy and the sauce to be rich with flavor. This dish left me unsatisfied. Luckily, there are many other dining options in the area. This restaurant has a lot of room for improvement.
This tiny little takeaway place (okay, you can at there too, but seats are few) makes one of the best felafel wraps you will ever enjoy. I can't vouch for the other combos, 'cos I get the same thing every time. And it's delicious!
We enjoyed a morning coffee and brunch here and it was very tasty. recommend a return visit. Nothing too hard to organise if you need it.
