Avaliação da contribuiçãoI visited this restaurant with my boyfriend, who eats fish. The vegan option was not very impressive, with a tasteless chickpea patty, but the vegetables were really delicious.
I don't often write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so other vegans are aware. We chose to dine at this restaurant based on the description we read on HappyCow, mentioning dishes like soy protein in umami broth and yuba leather. Unfortunately, these items were not on the menu. The only vegan option available was a chickpea "steak," which turned out to be a basic fried patty similar to ones found in supermarkets. The "triple baked potatoes" were essentially just fancy fries. While the food was tasty, we were disappointed by the lack of creativity given the price. The service staff seemed unfamiliar with veganism and were not as friendly or professional as we have experienced elsewhere in Hvar. They cleared our plates before we had finished our starter and appeared to be less attentive to us than other diners. Overall, we found the experience to be underwhelming, especially in a location known for its hospitality like Hvar.
I don't usually write bad reviews, but I don't want other vegans to go there and be disappointed. We went there because the description here on Happycow (soy protein in Umami-Bouillon and Yuba-Leder etc.) sound very interesting and we want to try. But they don't. You have a vegan main Chickpea steak that is not a steak, but a fried patty and not that unlike vegan patties we can buy at home in our supermarkets. The three-fold baked potatoes were a nice term for frits/chips. The food was delicious, but for this price I would have expected a little more elaborate. The service was not at all about what vegan means and generally not as friendly and professional as in other places in Hvar (e.g. Dalmatino etc.). I still ate the starter (bread in the hand when the waiter came to take the plates away. They came to review other guests, but they kept interaction with us to a minimum (may be because the vegan food or lack of alcoholic drinks was too cheap for them. They also never asked if everything is okay or how the food is/what. Very disappointing experience, especially for such a beautiful place as Hvar, known for its great hospitality.
I came to this restaurant with my friend to have fish. The vegan option was not very good, with bland chickpeas, but the vegetables were really delicious.
Came here with my friend who eats fish. Vegan option was meh, tasteless cherry pebbles, but the sweet were really nice updated by previous review on 2021-09-24
