Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe stayed at blueberry resort and we thoroughly enjoyed La gare restaurant for our dining out of the cottage. We dined out 5x during the week and 3 of those times were at La gare, breakfast, lunch and dinner with our 2 kids. Food at Tremblanc could not compare. Every meal was fantastic as was the patio and rail car / swings for the kids to play while we enjoyed drinks. In addition to the menu items, I would really recommend the house made bread and the ice cream for dessert, a fantastic spot indeed. Jeff
We stopped here while cycling Le Petite Train du Norse. This is a nice place with pleasant staff. Be prepared to wait as it can be busy, which is great for the owners and speaks to the reputation of the place. If you are looking for vegetarian fare, the options are limited, as the French fries are even cooked in duck fat. I would encourage the owners to have more vegetarian options on the menus. Staff spoke fluent English and French.
In the hour we sat in the restaurant, we saw only four people served food. We ended up canceling our order and leaving, hungry and frustrated, to continue our bike ride. There were harried-looking people in the kitchen and harried-looking wait-staff walking back and forth, occasionally carrying drinks. This was at 2-3 pm on a Wednesday, and there were three in our party. It would probably be worse on a weekend, although I can't imagine how. We ordered salads and chili, none of which, presumably, needed to be made from scratch. Avoid this place at all costs if you are in a hurry.
We stop by with friends to get a light lunch on a rainy day. Small menu, not fancy, but covering all the angles. Nice selection of local beers & wines. Very well decorated and charming service. We will come back
Loved the food and service! It's a charming train station in a cute little town bisected by a river. We stopped in after a hike with the dog on Gorilla mountain trail. Been here twice now, thanksgiving and late spring. Loved the soup. Totally worth it.
