Vistas incríveis do oceano.
The *BEST* restaurant in Portugal. Equivalent to French Laundry or Fat Duck. Service is amazing. The food is spectacular. Wine pairings are well thought out. . They offer an 8(? , 12, or 21 course menu. 8/12 menu courses are usually chosen by the chef. Lunch starts at 12:30, and you'll easily be there until 5:20. They need you to leave at 5:20 though. 10000% worth the cost. Twenty-One course meal wine pairings is €390/person.
Very nice location and view. The staff is nice but the food is not at the level expected for this kind of price range restaurant. We felt as we were in the movie The Menu, but Ralph Fiennes was missing. Toi much “experience”and not enough good food in the plates.
One of the most romantic place to dine while the sun dip into the horizon for the night. The restaurant perched on top of the rock of the Ocean. The view is amazing. The staffs were super friendly and very professional. The immaculate details of the foods were great. We were there last October for our vacation. The ambience is unmatched. We chose the 25 course meals and we felt not overstuffing at all. While I was very allergic to alcohols so I didn't have any wine pairing with my meals. My hubby is not a big drink so both of us didn't pair any wine with our course. The downside is that it would have been an added experience for someone like us if they create some virgin or fruit drinks to pair with our meals like what we had in Budapest at Onyx or at Loco in Lisbon. I gave a 4.5 stars because I felt like they made a mistake on one of my desserts when we especially told them that I can't have anything with alcohols and one of the desserts were made with alcohol. They managed to take away the best part of the dessert to remove the alcohol but then it left unfinished. At the end the chef came out, shook our hands and talked to us. He even took a picture with me. We had been to several Michelin stars restaurants and this is a rare occasion to have chef came and chat with us. This made up for the minor alcohol encountered. We had such a great experience dinning at Casa de Cha da Boa Nova.
